Kristina
Oblasova

Kristina is a young Russian skater hoping to break through in the most competitive ladies skating nation in the World. She won an event in the Junior Grand Prix Series and placed an encouraging seventh place in the short program during this season's Russian Nationals, behind such lofty names as Butyrskaya, Slutskaya, Soldatova, Voltchkova, Sokolova, and Nikolaeva. She had a disappointing long program, placing tenth overall, but hopes to improve on this placement next season.

Tidbits:
Kristina has been coached by Zhanna Gromova for most of her career. At Russian Nationals, however, she was coached by Elena Chaikovskaya. She is known for good extensions. Often she has placed well in the short program but has dropped in the standings after her long program. She still looks unpolished, but is nonetheless a promising young skater who could someday soon make a breakthrough.
